The Reasel - Oak easel with fixed shelf
£120
A beautiful easel complete with a fixed and floating shelf. All features from the heights of the shelves to the angle of the easel were ergonomically designed for the user. This easel has custom-made knobs for locking the floating shelf in-place securely. I did not have the right type of hinge for the back leg, so I made some hinges from wood with metal pins. The central vertical member is two pieces joined end-to-end using a strong dovetailed lap joint. This project was a lot of hard work but it turned out exceptionally well and both the client and myself are very happy with the results.

Dice Cabinet - Sapele dice and spice cabinet
£90
Designed to fit around 24 spice jars, this exquisite cabinet is made from a single board of Sapele. I utilised mitred dovetail joints for their elegant style and strength. It was designed to be wall-mounted using a simple French-cleat mounting method. The hinges, which were cheap-looking zinc-plated steel, now have a dark blue-black patina to better match the dark and rich Sapele timber. The doors have custom cut glass panels, hidden magnets in the doors and shelves keep these heavy doors closed. This cabinet is now property of a very happy Dungeons & Dragons dungeon master.

Nut Grater - Recycled-Teak kitchen utensil
£65
This nut slicer was made from made from old Teak cabinet doors. As a gift to my auntie, this was based on design my Grandad made in memory of my Grandma. The container was precisely crafted for a smooth and consistent sliding action. As it will be used a lot, I finished it with several coats of hard-wearing varnish. In the bottom corner there is a custom-engraved name. Sufficed to say, my auntie was overjoyed when she received this gift as it meant a lot to her personally.

The Bambookshelf - Bamboo table-top bookshelf
£45
Made from bamboo floorboards, this bookshelf is firmly held together with mortice and through-tenon joints. The unglued joints allow the bookshelf can come apart to make it easy to transport. The shelves are slightly proud of the vertical pieces to give the bookshelf a subtle depth. It is finished with a hard-wearing wax polish that brings out the rich, light colour of the bamboo and protect it from the wear and tear of everyday usage. It now sits proudly in my loft looking after my old Engineering textbooks.

Minimal OSB Guitar Stand
£12
This guitar stand is minimal as can be - made from two shaped OSB (chipboard) boards with a hinge at the top. This took about two hours to make from start to finish. I first created the design in CAD, then printed out a template to stick on the OSB to achieve the shape I had designed. Neoprene pads provide a cushion for the guitar to rest upon. The simple design is complimented by the random complexities in the OSB particles. It folds away nice and flat for easy storage.
